Did you know axolotls can regrow their limbs? And that they only live in one country on Earth? And they do a little dance to mate? Let's learn all these facts and more! Axolotls are incredibly unique and interesting animals that are highly endangered which is why we should learn more about them! In this fun, one-time class students will learn all about axolotls and what makes them special. We will cover their unique anatomy, odd behaviors and interesting characteristics that make them one of the most cute and kooky animals around.

Hi there! I am a creative, fun and patient Environmental Educator, Spanish and English teacher, and certified Permaculture designer. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, French and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) as well as a TESOL certification I received in Thailand before teaching there for a year. I am a former Peace Corps volunteer and spent four years in Mexico as an Environmental Education volunteer working with kids in rural schools. I have also worked as an online English teacher for over a year. Teaching kids is truly my greatest joy!
I am passionate about the environment and love teaching kids about composts, gardens, energy, and climate change! I am also fluent in Spanish and enjoy teaching fun vocabulary and introductory conversation classes. I also love working with kids on life skills such as public speaking and confidence building and try to incorporate them as much as possible in my classes.
When I'm not teaching you can find me embroidering, reading mystery books, writing and tending to my vegetable garden. I can't wait to meet you, let's learn something fun together!
