3-2-1... BLAST OFF! Climb aboard Ms. Rachel's rocket ship and join her for an exciting adventure exploring our solar system! We will be rocketing into the world of dramatic play in this fun class. Children are invited to dress up as astronauts (optional) as they participate in this interactive class where they will learn some fun facts about our solar system. Buckle up, because we will be pretending to visit each of the planets and having lots of fun along the way. All children will be given the opportunity to speak and Ms. Rachel will make sure all of the little astronauts are heard! Every child is invited to bring a crew member along with them for the journey as a space buddy (a favourite doll or toy). Before the class ends, everyone will be invited to dance with their space buddy and pretend to bounce around to some music just like they are in space! Moonwalk anyone? All music written specifically for this class!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi!
I'm Ms. Rachel! I enjoy teaching early childhood education classes in fun and engaging ways!
I also teach life skill classes to all ages of children - such as learning to connect to your community, leadership and preparing for the future.
I absolutely love working with children of all ages! I love making the learning experience for children as engaging and fun as possible and I believe learning through play is crucial because it fosters the development of a child’s ideas, concepts and methods. I have always been dedicated to making sure that the children that I am working with are provided with stimulating and engaging activities/materials to help foster educational play in a variety of manners to meet their diverse needs.
I have my Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History and Psychology and a Bachelor of Education with a Concentration in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I own and operate a school-age child care program with four locations across our province.
I'm married to my best friend and business partner, Luke, and we have three beautiful children. I homeschool my young children and we have a lot of fun together!
I'm also the Children's Ministry Director at my church and love coordinating children's events for my church and community!
Something fun about me is that my favourite sport is dodgeball and I have played in provincial tournaments (before I had children, of course!) and I hope to get back into it one day!
I can’t wait for your child to join me in my classroom!
