Description

Class Experience

We will review place value (to the thousands place) and read each number that is listed. The students will be instructed using a game format. Each student will be able to form their own number (using number cards), and he/she will practice reading the number. I have a variety of games that we will play to review the concepts. These are fun ways to practice the topics that some children find difficult or boring. The games present a different perspective and can also be used at home with a...

Students will review place value, reading numbers, and we will also compare all of the numbers that are listed. These concepts will be appropriate for students in second grade or beyond.

The students will make number cards ranging from 0-9. This can be done on index cards, post-it notes, or cut pieces of paper.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
