Description

Class Experience

This class covers healthy vocal basics for young students, including:
Breathing Exercises - Learning to breathe properly is a foundation to healthy singing habits 
Pitch Control - Using fun and engaging exercises to match pitch 
Shaping Vowels - With vocal scales and songs, students will learn how to properly shape certain vowel sounds when singing 
Fun, Engaging songs to sing in class and practice at home for the duration of the class 
Basic Sight Reading- worksheet that includes labeling...

Students will come away from this class with a better understanding of basic voice technique and be ready for either private voice lessons or more group lessons that continue reinforcing the skills taught here and also learning new skills as they grow as singers.

Exercises and songs sung in class will also need to be practiced throughout the week.

Be sure that the files in the outschool classroom are easily accessible during class time for the students to play back any of the exercises or songs they might need.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

We will have in class time to review and sing through our exercises and songs every week.

25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
