Let's Have Fun Making Friends! Social Skills Group (Ages 5-8)

In this four week class, your child will have the opportunity to make friends and practice social skills. We will work on the following social skills: turn taking, asking appropriate questions, speaking in front of a group, active listening and interacting respectfully with others. 
Age-appropriate topics for discussion will be given each week. 
Week 1 - We will get to know each other by doing introductions. Introductions can include:  first name, age, country your child lives in, sibling/s, pet/s, favorite color, or anything else that is safe for your child to share. I will be sure to review what information is safe for your child to share before we begin the topic. 
Week 2 - Your child will get to share about something s/he loves to do or something s/he does well. 
Week 3 - We will do a show and tell activity. Your child can show/tell about his/her favorite toy or game. 
Week 4 - Your child will answer the question- "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Your child can draw a picture or even dress up as what they want to be.  
If we have any extra time after discussing the weekly topic, students will get to share a joke or just have fun socializing with each other.
