Hi! My name is Helen. I am excited to share this ongoing literacy camp to interested families of young learners. For three days each week, we will learn age-appropriate lessons on language, arts, math, science, music, character values, etc. Students will be given opportunities to share their ideas and thoughts related to engaging topics. Camp activities will include all of the following: ***LANGUAGE - letter sounds and blending them, reading ***STORY-TELLING - making and telling a story...
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of some basic fundamentals in learning and develop a love for the world they live in.
My experience as a former multi-grade school teacher and ESL language instructor provided me the skills and the knowledge to use different methods of teaching and adapt to changes in the learning environment. I am patient and kind to my students and have the ability to spark a child's interest, getting them excited about learning. I have taught students of various cultural backgrounds and educational levels.
On WEDNESDAYS during art class, printable sheets will be shared in the classroom. The additional supplies needed are: *pencils for drawing *crayons for coloring *paper/drawing notebook ***I understand that printing files at home may be not an option to some families. For those who won't be able to print files, please provide a paper/drawing notebook, pencil, and some crayons for your learner. This will help them participate and enjoy the activity with the whole class. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions. Thank you!
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
