Do you like playing video games? Do you like meeting other gamers? This is the place for you! In this ongoing class, learners are able to meet others who love video games, share updates on what they are playing at the moment, and find new games to play! Each class will begin with allowing all learners to share an update on what they have been playing. This ongoing course is learner-directed, and has a casual format that will depend on what learners would like to do! Learners can chat while they play their own games, and might play co-op games together if everyone is up for it. As the social club is inclusive of all types of video games, not everyone is able to play different games due to their access to different consoles and games. While learners are welcome to play games, they will be asked to turn down their volume or remain muted when others are speaking. Learners are able to: Share recommendations of their favourite games Discuss new game releases Play co-op games together (if more than one player would like to do so!) Share updates on the games they are playing Discover new genres of gaming Games from all consoles are welcomed (Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, Playstation etc). Games are played and talked about in the class need to be rated E, or E10+ or Teen in some cases. Conversations of games with higher rating will be diverted for the safety of all learners. Learners will be asked if they want to play together, but will not be forced to should they chose to play alone. Learners should have games that they can play alone in the case everyone decides to play single-player games. Learners will be able to share screenshots, game process, or even their own gaming set-ups and merch if they would like too. Class might utilize breakout rooms in the event that some learners want to play co-op games together. Nintendo Switch users will need Nintendo Online to play co-op. Class photo by: Ion Şipilov
