Class Experience

Join this class and let's head to the desert in Utah with me as we explore Bryce Canyon!

We will be learning about Bryce Canyon in southwestern Utah. We will learn all about the canyon (which is not technically a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau): it’s history, it's geology, the park surrounding the canyon, canyon animals, different activities in and around the canyon and the night sky over the canyon.

While learning these things, we will go to the desert and take a virtual tour provided by the National Park Service. We will see (and learn about) hoodoos, ride horseback through the canyon, hear sounds of the canyon and look up from "Wall Street" (in the lowest part of the canyon).

This will be a fun, engaging and interactive class for students 7 to 12 years old. Class will be a combination of slide presentation, 360 virtual tour and videos. Students are encouraged to turn the lights off and wear headphones while we take our 360 virtual tour!
