Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Welcome! I am so excited you are here. This class is an introductory class on the International Space Station (ISS). It is designed to be fun, engaging and educational. Are your learners interested in space? science? astronauts? This class is for them!

Class begins with brief introductions and an icebreaker. Next, learners will dig into the ISS - Who goes there? Why was it built? How was it built? What does it look like? We will continue class by brainstorming what astronauts on the ISS do all day, discuss what they eat, how they sleep, if they use restroom (and how) and what they do to exercise! I teach in a very fun and flexible way. I encourage discussion and sharing and always include colorful imagery and short video clips to keep student interest. After we learn about the ISS, we play ISS themed BINGO. This is always a fun way to review things we have learned as well as add some new facts.

Class is tailored to fit each unique class. Students are always encouraged to ask questions and share their own knowledge with the class.

Class ends with a fun game of International Space Station/Space BINGO! Please print your BINGO board before class.

This class is designed as an introductory class to the ISS. If your learner is already well versed in the ISS, please consider a more advanced course.
