Let's Go on an Exercise Adventure! (Dinosaur Hero Workout)

In this fun, upbeat class, we take part in a guided workout using bodyweight and aerobic exercise that follows a cartoon-style story on the screen. Learners imitate movements of the hero to advance through levels and complete the adventure.

Description

Class Experience

Students will learn that working out can be fun! They will also increase physical fitness and stamina.
The hero in the adventure uses a sword. Learners may wish to have their own "sword" which could be a toy sword, a cardboard tube, a pool noodle, or any non-dangerous, stick-like object. Learners will be encouraged to swing their "swords" at various points in the adventure. If a student does not have a "sword," the "fighting" movements can be pretend.

Learners will need enough space to move around in front of their devices. They should be able to stand and have several feet in each direction with no obstructions or tripping hazards. This will prevent accidental collisions with the learner and with the "sword" as well as falls.

Please ensure that your learner has water on hand during class.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
- This class contains cartoon violence against non-human enemies.
- Safety is the top proiority! Remember to be aware of potential hazards including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle, and adequate stretching beforehand. As with all physical activities, injury can occur if not properly supervised.
