Does your learner love to be on the go? This class will get them up and moving! In this class, we will go going on a scavenger hunt. I have a list of items that I need help finding! Miss Katlyn will go over all rules before we start our hunt. Your child will be given an item, then given a small countdown to give their brain time to think about where this item may be, and then 30 seconds to 1 minute to find the item. All items on the list will be child safe and within reach of their little hands! If the kiddos are really good finders, they may have to guess the item before they go search for it (if the item is a spoon, I might give them the hint: what do you use to bring cereal to your mouth?) Some items they may be searching for are: a toothbrush something red a pillow your favorite snack This class is great for language development, following directions, problem solving skills, and getting your body moving!
Learning Goals
Students will develop language, follow directions, and problem solve how to find their items.

Hello everyone! 👋🏻
My name is Miss Katlyn and I’m so excited that you’re here!
I am a certified elementary school teacher, with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education PreK-4. I have 8 years of experience in brick and mortar schools spending time in PreK, kindergarten, first, second, and third grade classrooms. During those years, I cotaught autistic support, emotional support, and learning support. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring.
My philosophy on education is focusing on the entirety of a child. Academics are important, but implementing strategies for children to grow in social emotional learning has equal value. My goal is to create an inclusive environment that is welcoming and supportive of all learners and to foster their individual needs as best I can. I believe in forming valued relationships with my learners and their families so we can create the education their child deserves.
