Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, learners will be introduced to different strategies, such as using a number line, for solving addition facts involving one- and two-digit numbers. The class focus will be to solve addition facts within 20. Learners will understand important math vocabulary, including add (combine) and equal (total); learners will also be able to name and recognize the symbols used in addition equations.

It is my educational philosophy to always make learning fun, hands-on, and engaging!

I am a certified teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade in public schools. I have my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a year of experience teaching Kindergarten Readiness to preschool students.

An optional practice worksheet will be uploaded to the classroom after class for additional practice of the skill after class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
