Critical thinking is a set of skills and habits of mind, including the ability to define a problem, identify assumptions, analyze ideas, and reason critically, and then systematically list different possible causes, create plausible solutions, or evaluate its correctness using logical reasoning. It also includes the ability to make creative connections between ideas from different disciplines. In this course, we will use our thinking hats to look at different scenarios in different ways. We will use a variety of teaching methods such as questioning to think outside the box. Each week has a different focus and aims to engage learners through discussion. 🔹 Week Beginning 3/2/2025 - The Justice System 🔹 Week Beginning 10/2/2025 - Time Travel 🔹 Week Beginning 17/2/2025 - Desert Island 🔹 Week Beginning 24/2/2025 - The Future 🔹 Week Beginning 3/3/2025 - Ageing Backwards 🔹 Week Beginning 10/3/2025 - The Universe 🔹 Week Beginning 17/3/2025 - Strange Things 🔹 Week Beginning 24/3/2025 - Society 🔹 Week Beginning 31/3/2025 - Will Robots Replace Us? 🔹 Week Beginning 7/4/2025 - Fashion 🔹 Week Beginning 14/4/2025 - Life of Chocolate 🔹 Week Beginning 21/4/2025 - Upside Down 🔹 Week Beginning 28/4/2025 - Intelligence: Learned or Inherited? 🔹 Week Beginning 5/5/2025 - Modern Medicine vs Traditional Medicine 🔹 Week Beginning 12/5/2025 - Time: What Is It? 🔹 Week Beginning 19/5/2025 - How Was Language Created? 🔹 Week Beginning 26/5/2025 - Dinosaurs 🔹 Week Beginning 2/6/2025 - Fishing 🔹 Week Beginning 9/6/2025 - Sports 🔹 Week Beginning 16/6/2025 - What Would Happen If... 🔹 Week Beginning 23/6/2025 - Jokes 🔹 Week Beginning 30/6/2025 - Being Happy 🔹 Week Beginning 7/7/2025 - Being Invisible 🔹 Week Beginning 14/7/2025 - Zero Gravity 🔹 Week Beginning 21/7/2025 - No School 🔹 Week Beginning 28/7/2025 - Life Without Internet 🔹 Week Beginning 4/8/2025 - Types of Transport 🔹 Week Beginning 11/8/2025 - Ice Age 🔹 Week Beginning 18/8/2025 - A Healthy Body = A Healthy Mind We look forward to being part of your learning journey!
