Let's Get Moving! Fitness From Home
In this weekly class learners will engage in mobility, strength, and flexibility exercises. No equipment needed.

Learners need to be dressed appropriately to move freely. They should have a water bottle nearby. There also needs to be ample space to move around which is free of clutter. We will do light stretching before and after our exercise to prevent injury. Prepare to get energized and use your body to get in shape and have fun while doing it. This class is very interactive and is a great way to take a break from video games or online school. Everything we do I will be demonstrating and we will move together. Make sure you have a soft area to lay down on for floor exercises it could be on the carpet or using a yoga mat.
Learning Goals
This course will teach adolescent learners how to stay moving during these times that we are spending more time inside. We will use our own body weight and learn static exercises to stay moving. We will do some mobility training, strength training and flexibility training. We will also incorporate how to cool down and use that time to also explore some meditation techniques to quiet our minds. We will add some breathing exercises as well. This course is designed to educate, motivate, and involve students in their physical well being.

My name is Jean Irvin. I have a Master's in Health and Human Services and I enjoy teaching lifestyle habits that can benefit both our physical and mental health. In addition I am a healthy lifestyle enthusiast. One of my classes is “Let’s Get Moving,” and is a fitness class for kids to do from home, with no equipment.
I am very involved in fitness and participate in Spartan Races, Mixed Martial Arts, and functional fitness classes. My goal is to make movement and mobility fun for children and set good future lifestyle habits.
