Class Experience

Students will be able to use a color wheel to choose colors for their project.
Students will learn what negative space painting is and how to use it to create art.
Students will experience imagining where the light is coming from in a painting and how to add shadows to create more realism.
A flat surface protected with wax paper or freezer paper (shiny side up!)
A set of acrylic paint colors including black and white
An 8x10 (inch) or 9X12 (inch) or similar size canvas board for each class (6 total)
Paper towels--LOTS :)
A set of foam brushes of assorted sizes.
A container of water.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
