Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - 12
In this fun on-going class, each week will focus on a different creative subject! Some of the subjects that are rotated each week involve art, creative writing, comic strip making, journaling, and poetry. This is an interactive platform to let learners get creative, de-stress, and be inspired to think outside the box! (Learners can join and quit at any time as each week is based on a separate subject and therefore doesn't build on the previous one.) The following is a sample lesson...
Learners will gain confidence in their artistic endeavors as they exercise their imagination through fun activities and have the opportunity to share what they make in a judge-free environment.
I have worked abroad helping teenagers to brainstorm and improve their writing. I currently enjoy blogging, writing stories, painting cards for friends and helping elementary school students enjoy writing more. This past year I was asked twice to write and present a poem for special events. I have held creative writing and art workshops over zoom for both young and older people and enjoy writing, painting, and all things creative!
Depending on the topic, students will need to bring relevant materials. For example, if the topic is on creative writing or poetry, students will be expected to have access to paper and a pencil (or an electronic device if they prefer writing in a digital format). For art classes, students will need access to either a canvas or paper and some kind of paint (or another medium they prefer). If the learner prefers to do digital art using an electronic device, this will be accepted too.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
