Description
Class Experience
In this class students will learn how to make delicious cupcakes. Using simple at home ingredients I will teach the students step by step how to mix their ingredients, measure their portions, bake and then finish with delicious frosting and toppings of their choice. I will use video to share with students the mixing, measuring, baking and topping of our cupcakes. Students will learn how to make a vanilla, chocolate and a fruit based cupcake in this lesson. Students will need: Access to an oven and a cupcake pan and liners mixing bowl mixing spoon measuring cups and spoons ingredients: flour, sugar, salt, eggs, baking powder and baking soda, milk, vanilla extract, vegetable oil/canola oil, brown sugar, cocoa powder, fruit of choice, chocolate chips, butter, powdered sugar.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be working in the kitchen with a hot stove/oven, parents should be present for safety. There may/will be hazards including the use of a stove, oven, knives, or other tools needed while cooking. There are possible allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy.
