Class Experience

In this ongoing course, learners will develop their maths skills. This course is part of a six year primary maths course that takes a problem-solving approach to teaching young learners the skills they need to become confident mathematicians.

This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language.

Multiplication and Division
Week of 19/8/24 - Multiplying by two-, three- and four- digit numbers
Week of 26/8/24 - Dividing three-digit numbers by two-digit numbers

Week of 9/9/24 - Using the arithmetical laws for multiplication and division

Shapes and Geometry

This course uses Oxford International Primary Maths 6 - Tony Cotton, Caroline Clissold, Linda Glithro, Cherri Moseley, Janet Rees.  Each class will stand alone and learners can join at any time in line with ongoing classes on Outschool.
