In this fun and creative writing class, your kid will use their knowledge about Fall Season to write a poem. The structure may vary, but will be one: narrative, free verse or haiku. The teacher will use a Nearpod presentation, with short videos, examples and ideas to lead the class and provide all necessary support to the student. Class expectations: The student will, *understand the difference between narrative, free verse and haiku poems. *chose and write one poem structure using the Fall Season theme *complete writing with drawings and decorations

Students are encouraged to read books about the Fall Season before the class.
Please, have the following materials ready to use: *ruled paper *pencil and eraser *construction paper (1-any color) *crayons, color pencils or markers
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will access Nearpod during class. Make sure student know how to access the program from their device.
