We have all seen pictures of ribbons of light streaming across the night sky. Many kids wonder what they are and where they come from! In this class, we will learn all about The Northern Lights! We will learn where they can be found on Earth and throughout the Solar System! Learners will explore the science of The Northern Lights, make observations, and explore the solar system! We will cover several topics, including: The Northern Lights and where they come from The Solar Wind Earth's Magnetic Field Magnetic Fields on Other Planets

Hello! My name is Lauren, and I have a background in Science and Education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Earth and Space Exploration from Arizona State University. I did an internship with NASA, and I have taught science to children of all ages. Here on Outschool, I teach classes on various science topics. My classes are very interactive.
