In this class, students will learn about the Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Pacific oceans. They will learn the order from smallest to largest, and facts about each one. We will discover animals that live in each ocean, listen to sounds they make, and see how some of them live in their habitats. This lesson is taught through animated Google Slides, and some video clips. We will discuss facts, and there are fun small "quizzes" between each ocean. There are 14 (optional) worksheets that go along with the lesson. The worksheets are not necessary to have during class. These are an extension for after class, where the learners can practice handwriting, color the ocean animals, and read facts that we learned during the lesson. Learners will be able to print out a certificate of completion after taking the class to show that they are now "Ocean Experts"!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I have been an elementary school teacher for 20+ years!! I have taught Preschool through Middle School, but teaching elementary school and art has been my passion. I look forward to teaching classes that involve science, reading, writing and art. I started out as a first grade teacher, and have since been a substitute teacher in all grades, as well as art, music, media, and P.E.
I have two boys, Mason and Maddox who are 12 and 15. We had a wonderful summer going to Disney World, and most recently visiting Mount Rushmore and New York City! I am looking forward to teaching kids who are excited to learn and have fun doing it! I am always creating new classes for our Outschool learners. Let me know what kinds of classes your children are interested in!
