This class is interactive. We will learn about the sun and the moon and more. We will share information that the children already know and expand on it. The children will learn through discussions and information provided by me. We also will do a sun experiment and an activity with the phases of the moon.

Parental Guidance
I use Oreo cookies for the children to create their own moon phases. If you are not comfortable with this please let me know before class starts and I will make adjustments.
Supply List
The children will need at least 8 (because they break easily) Oreo (or similar) cookies. A piece of preferably red construction paper and sunscreen.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught preschool ages 18 mo. to 5 years old. I have also taught K-2nd grade for Sunday School. I offer parenting classes.
I have been involved in Early Childhood Education for more than 40 years, 22 of those years as a preschool teacher. I continue my professional growth every year to sharpen my skills and keep my perspective on teaching fresh and relevant. I have built trusted relationships and lifelong friendships with my parents and students. I earned my B.S. in Child Development from the University of La Verne.
I believe that a preschooler needs to learn about conflict resolution, problem solving, how to play with others and most importantly being kind and grateful. I feel that children need to have fun and laugh a lot. I teach academics in a fun, playful way. In Kindergarten children will receive all the academics they need, whereas helping them learn coping and life skills will not be the focus of the classroom. These are my strengths.
I have a beautiful daughter that teaching on Outschool and thought I might enjoy it as well. I have 10 amazing nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. I am very blessed.Reviews
