Students will create hand-made art pieces while listening to two different types of music: Happy and upbeat versus slow and sensitive.
Class experience
Students will first listen to two different types of instrumental music (an uplifting, cheerful, tune), and (a slower, more sensitive sounding piece) for about 2 minutes each. The students will be asked to create their art piece while listening to the first type of music. After the first art piece is complete, the students will then be asked to create a second art piece while listening to the second song. The teacher will participate in the activity as well. Learning Goals: Students will be able to: Identify feelings appropriately, utilize art and writing supplies, demonstrate knowledge of oneself.
Materials Needed: *Two sheets of blank paper (any color, except black since the art pieces will be difficult to see) * Crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint. (Choose one or multiple, be creative!)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
