In this class students will learn about California tide pools, animal adaptations, diet, food chain, and interdependence of this unique ecosystem. The lesson focuses on sea stars, sea anemones, and sea urchins, with plenty of visuals, engaging group activities, questions, and discussion, as well as closing art activity students are bound to have fun and learn a bunch about ocean habitat. The class is organized in three parts; lesson, class discussion and engagement, and end of the lesson art activity. Students will get to interact with the teacher and each other during the lecture, while watching slides and during discussion. The topic and class lecture style is of high interest to elementary age students that love animals and nature.
