Teacher expertise and credentials
As of spring of 2021, I have completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education, along with an added authorization of Adapted Physical Education. My degree focuses on providing physical education for children with disabilities. From January 2020 - May 2020, I completed an internship in teaching both in-person and virtual lessons to typically developed children at the kindergarten (5 years old), 4th (9 years old), and 5th (10 years old) grade level. I created lesson plans for all activities (traditional ball sports, dance, fitness, yoga). The size of these classes was 15-20 students. Then from August 2020 - May 2021, I completed an internship through California State University, Long Beach’s After School Adapted Physical Activity Program (ASAPP) that served children with disabilities ages 5 - 13. I created lesson plans with appropriate modifications for all activities (traditional ball sports, dance, fitness, yoga). ASAPP was done asynchronously over Facebook Live.
