In this two day course, students will focus on writing a three paragraph informative article about video games. I am a homeschool mom to 3 children, all of various writing abilities. With each of my children, I've found an incremental approach to writing to be the least intimidating and provided the most confidence in the writing process. Additionally, I am currently a graduate level student earning my masters in teaching English.
All work will be done in class, however, students may need additional time outside of class to finish their work.
I will be providing two graphic organizers for this class in which students will need to print and bring to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will using video games as a discussion point in class. Parents should be aware of the overall themes included in the video games their learners enjoy. If these become a discussion point in class, we will discuss them from the stand-point of video games being a work of fiction.
