Description

Class Experience

Our artist will learn to draw common things they see everyday at home or in your community. I will incorporate all the Elements of Art in our classes. They are: line, shape, form, space, value, color, texture.
I have taught Visual Art to k-12 for the past 15 years. I received my Bachelors of Fine Art, BFA, with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing from the University of Georgia. I am certified to teach K-6 Elementary Education, K-12 Visual Art Education and K-12 ESE education.

Here on Outschool I will be teaching all grade levels. We will learn the fundamentals of art while engaging in fun interactive activities with a variety of materials; such as paint, glue, paper, pencils, crayons etc.

Picasso once said "Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain one when we grow up."
Artist will need a basic box of 8 crayola crayons that include: red, yellow, blue, green, orange, purple, black, and brown. I encourage you to have a sketchbook to keep all your artwork in one place, but any paper without lines will work.
I will do ongoing informal assessments and giving feed back in class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
