Class Experience
This is a fun and relaxing ongoing art class, where we'll explore the fascinating world of safari animals through drawing and painting. Each week we'll focus on different safari, grassland, savannah, and desert animals. Using simple shapes, lines, and patterns, we'll practice drawing our unique safari animals, and then bring them to life with crayons, markers, oil pastels, coloring pencils, and watercolors. Throughout the class, we'll explore simple shapes, lines, patterns, and resist techniques as we create our own unique safari animals. The focus will be on the creative process rather than the finished product, allowing young learners to build their confidence in their own creative abilities.
9x12 Watercolor or Mixed Media Paper* Pencil and Eraser Paintbrushes (Large, Medium, and Small) Watercolor Paint Crayons and/or Oil pastels (Please make sure to have black and white crayons/oil pastels) Coloring Pencils Markers Cup of Water Paper Towel Optional: Acrylic, Metallic Pens, Paint Pens, etc.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
