In this 40 minute class, young artists will create a spider web and a spider using a pencil, crayons and watercolor paints. First, young artists will be led through an easy to follow step-by-step drawing. We will discuss what color schemes work well together when watercolor painting. We will also discuss how to use the wax-resist technique and the wet-wash technique (or also called wet-on-wet). A painting demonstration will be provided. I have been an art educator for over 20 years. I earned my bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons. I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.
Pencil (with an eraser) Black crayon White crayon Watercolor paper (any size) Watercolor paints (trays or tubes) A surface for mixing watercolors (a paper plate works great) Paint brush (a large flat brush works best) Paper towels A cup of water
