In this class we will learn to draw 8 simple, adorable cartoon pets! Each week we will draw and color two different animals using basic shapes and simple strokes. No drawing experience is needed. Perfect for beginner artists or more experienced learners who just love drawing animals! In each lesson, I demonstrate the drawing step by step. I use drawing paper, pencil, eraser, black fine pen for outlining and coloring pencils. You will be able to add creative elements to you drawings to personalize them. The only supplies you will need to have are a sketchbook or blank drawing paper, a pencil, an eraser, and a coloring medium. Coloring pencils are recommended, but markers or crayons may also be used. A black fine pen may also be used to outline your drawings, but it is not required. This is a self-paced course that has no live meetings. You will be able to watch and work on the drawings at your own pace and convenience. Once you are finished with your artwork, you can upload it to the classroom page with a brief description of your drawing. I will provide feedback in a prompt manner. I'm looking forward to drawing with you!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and an MBA in Marketing. I have lectured undergraduate level Business classes and have tutored students of all ages in Math. Also, I have extensive training and experience in drawing both in traditional and digital media. My professional experience includes graphic and web design, and creating digital marketing materials.
My passion has always been drawing and creative arts. I enjoy helping students learn new things and boost their self-confidence through art. It's very fulfilling when I see my students improving their skills and feeling proud of their accomplishments.
