In this one time art class, we will draw a cute cat together, using pencils, marker, white oil pastel or paint, and watercolor paints. We will explore expression, pose, how to draw a scarf, and paint an abstract chilly winter background.
Class experience
Do you love cats and drawing? I do too! Together, we will draw cute expressions on our cats, and then add some chilly, funny or cold situation for them to be in. We will begin by using pencils to sketch. I will provide step by step instruction. I also show students more than one way to make the artwork, therefore giving the students decisions about their art process. Students will use a fine tip Sharpie marker to make bold details for the cat's face. Students will color their pictures...
Students will learn about creating expressive artwork. Students will gain confidence in their artistic abilities.
