Class Experience

Each week on students will be given time learn how to draw their favorite anime character from an industry professional.

At the beginning of every class students will vote on which character they would like me to draw. With just a pencil and paper (color markers, pencils are optional) students will follow along to learn how anime characters are formed. We will start with the basics of shapes and figures then move onto details and special effects. Students of all levels will be welcomed and encouraged to share their work.

This is the weekly schedule.

Week 1 March 26: Favorite Male anime Character
Week 2 April 2: Favorite Female anime Character
Week 3 April 9: Favorite Magical Creature
Week 4 April 16: Favorite Bad guy anime Character

After week 4 we cycle back to week 1.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hey guys I am your Outschool teacher for drawing and creative writing.

For 10+ I have been in the animation/ illustration industry. Netflix and DC comics are among the many companies I work with. I also have experience in publishing, my book My Tiny Temper was backed on kickstarter in under 12 hours.

My teaching experience comes from years of instructing animation and my policy is always, "Do what you can first." When it comes to drawing and writing students come in at very different levels and it is up to me as the instructor to make sure they feel comfortable in performing their task and sharing their work.
