Class Experience

Hello and welcome! Is your child looking for something to do during winter break?

Join me for a fun, beginner's drawing class where we will draw and color a Gingerbread Character. I will guide students through a basic step by step drawing using pencil and crayons. Students are encouraged to use their creativity to make their drawing to their liking. They may make it as simple or as elaborate as they'd like to help make their Gingerbread Character special to them. Students are encouraged to share their work, but they are not required to.

Students will need:
Blank paper
Pencil
Eraser
Crayons and/or markers or colored pencils
*Optional- sequins, stickers, ribbon, etc. or other items to embellish your character!

I can’t wait to see you in class!

Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Sarah. I am a credentialed teacher with 18 years of experience teaching in the public, private, and online school settings. Most of my years spent teaching have been in first grade, which I love. I enjoy teaching Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with specialization in Early Childhood. I also have a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.

I like to teach lessons that are interactive, engaging, meaningful, and fun. I want students to not be afraid to take risks in learning. Even if they don’t get the correct answer right away, that’s ok, as long as they try their best. Learning is an ongoing process and everybody learns at different rates and through different methods and styles.

I love animals and I have lots of pets, including dogs, birds, and bunnies. I also enjoy baking, tap dancing, and learning new things. I look forward to seeing you in my classroom!
