In this dance class, students will continue to be challenged in their Ballet technique in a fun, interactive, and educational environment through online learning. Together we will cover further advancement in classical movement and methodology, and French terminology, with a focus on musicality and dynamics, control, and artistry. At the beginning of class we will start with intermediate barre work, including plie, tendu, jete, rond de jambe, frappe, fondu, and grand battement. Once the...
In this follow-up class, intermediate level dancers will continue to grow in the following areas: memory, technique, and terminology. They will learn the importance of musicality and dynamic within their movement, to further develop their skill and artistry.
No homework will be assigned for this class, however it is recommended to stay active and practice any terminology and movement learned in our time together for further advancement.
Materials: - Comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in - Socks or ballet slippers - A chair, counter, or sturdy surface to hold on to for barre work, about waist height - An open space to dance in safely, at least a 4 ft by 4 ft square - Water bottle - Notebook and pen
If the student desires further assessment outside of class time, please direct any questions to me following class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please contact me in advance if you have any health or safety concerns for your learner. In this class we will move at a moderate pace together, monitoring our physical activity safely.
