This will be an interactive dance class. I will demonstrate and the students will follow. We will begin class with stretching our legs, arms, and neck. Next, we will work on our technique for a short time. This will include plies, tendus, and practicing balance. After this, we will go over some basic jazz moves. The steps will include pat de bourrees, chasses, pivots, chaine turns, ball changes, grapevines, kicks, pirouettes, jetes, etc. After we practice our steps for the day, I will teach a short dance combination for more practice. We will run the dance until the end of class. This class is designed for students looking to practice their jazz technique and have fun learning a combo! At least one year of jazz is recommended.

Parental Guidance
This will be a dance class with a lot of movement. Make sure your child is in good health and takes class in an open space free of tripping/slipping hazards.

Please wear: -comfortable clothing you can move in -hair up -jazz shoes or tennis shoes if you don't have them

Hi everyone! My name is Miss Beth and I am SO excited to share my knowledge of theatre and dance with you! I will be teaching courses in ballet, jazz, tap, voice, auditioning 101, and more musical theatre fun! I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from California State University, Fullerton. I have been working in regional theatre in Southern California the past year, have been a Parade Performer and Entertainment Host at Disneyland the past three years, and have been dancing for fourteen years.
