Do you like the fairytale Frozen? Join me as we learn some ballet moves and retell the story through movements, acting and dance games. Dancers will learn age-appropriate foundational ballet technique, help me retell the story and play some fun dance games. No previous dancing experience is required. Please wear comfortable clothing and have a water bottle nearby during the class. Your child can dress up for the class if they like! Other one-time classes in this collection: Let’s Dance! Beginner Ballet Dance with Miss Jamie // CLASS STRUCTURE // We will start class with short introductions. Then, we will begin telling the story of Frozen along with a winter themed dance warmup. As we retell the story and meet different characters, we will practice plies, tendus and arabesque in the center as well as princess walks, chasse and spins across the floor. Finally we will play some dance games together if there is extra time. I cannot wait to retell this story with your ballerina! **Your child can color in the attached printable coloring sheet before or after class.** **This class does NOT use music from the movie. I use copyright free music because of Australian music streaming laws.** // MUTING // I will mute your child when music is playing so there is no strange audio feedback. I may need to mute your learner at other times if there is any background noise. Your child can unmute themselves to ask questions at the start and end of the class or during water breaks. Please be aware that they may need some help. They will have to accept the “unmute” on their screen. //ON SCREEN SAFETY// Only the registered learner is allowed to be on screen as per the Outschool safety policy. Caregivers, older/younger siblings and adults should try to stay off the screen as much as possible for the learners’ safety. If you need to help your child with the mute or unmute button, please try to stay off to the side. //SIBLINGS// Enrolled siblings are allowed to share a screen as long as they are both registered for the class in order to be fair to the other learners. //REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS// This class follows Outschool's limited refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class." If you need to transfer BEFORE the class starts, please send me a transfer request at least 24 hours before class and I will do my best to accommodate it. **I teach from Australia so please check the time carefully (AM OR PM) when signing up. I do not give refunds for missed classes.**
Learning Goals
Dancers will learn age appropriate ballet fundamentals (1st, 2nd and 6th positions, plies, tendu, chasse and turns) while using their imaginations to retell a fairytale. Dancers will improve their balance, flexibility, coordination and musicality.

Parental Guidance
Please provide a space that has enough space for your child to dance safely. Your dancer should wear comfortable clothing and have a water bottle nearby. Please mention any injuries prior to the class so I can modify the moves as needed.
Zoom muting/unmuting: I will mute students during dancing so everyone can hear the music and my voice. Your child can unmute themself to ask questions at the start and end of the class or during water breaks, so please be aware that they may need some help. They will have to accept the “unmute” on their screen.
By signing up for this class you understand that dance, like any physical activity, involves some risk and take responsibility for any physical injury which occurs during class.
