In this one-time class, dancers will learn beginner ballet dance moves, play Halloween themed dance games and show off their costumes during show and tell.

Do you love dressing up for Halloween? Join me as we learn some ballet dance moves and play Halloween themed dance games! Dancers will learn age appropriate foundational ballet technique, use their imaginations and talk about their costumes during show and tell. No previous dancing experience is required. Please wear a costume that is easy to move in and have a water bottle nearby during the class. // CLASS STRUCTURE // We will start class with short introductions and costume show and tell. Then we will do a ballet warm up and stretches using our Halloween theme for inspiration. We will work on beginner ballet dance moves in the center as well as across the floor. Finally, we will play some Halloween themed dance games which encourage your child to use their creativity. At the end of the class we will do a cool down and stretch and I can answer any questions your child has. I can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with your tiny dancer! **Your child can color in the attached printable coloring sheet before or after class.** // MUTING // I will mute your child when music is playing so there is no strange audio feedback. I may need to mute your learner at other times if there is any background noise. Your child can unmute themself to ask questions at the start and end of the class or during water breaks. Please be aware that they may need some help. They will have to accept the “unmute” on their screen. //ON SCREEN SAFETY// Only the registered learner is allowed to be on screen as per the Outschool safety policy. Caregivers, older/younger siblings and adults should try to stay off the screen as much as possible for the learners’ safety. If you need to help your child with the mute or unmute button, please try to stay off to the side. //SIBLINGS// Enrolled siblings are allowed to share a screen as long as they are both registered for the class in order to be fair to the other learners. //REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS// This class follows Outschool's limited refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class." If you need to transfer, please send me a transfer request at least 24 hours BEFORE the class starts and I will do my best to accommodate it. **I teach from Australia so please check the time carefully (AM OR PM) when signing up. If your child misses a class, you can request the class recording, but I cannot refund or transfer you AFTER the class has started.
Learning Goals
Dancers will learn age appropriate ballet fundamentals (1st and 2nd position, turns, footwork and jumps) while using their imaginations. Dancers will improve their balance, flexibility, coordination and musicality.

Parental Guidance
Please provide a space that has enough space for your child to dance safely. Your dancer should wear a costume which allows them to move safely and have a water bottle nearby. Please mention any injuries prior to the class so I can modify the moves as needed.
Zoom muting/unmuting: I will mute students during dancing so everyone can hear the music and my voice. Your child can unmute themself to ask questions at the start and end of the class or during water breaks, so please be aware that they may need some help. They will have to accept the “unmute” on their screen.
By signing up for this class you understand that dance, like any physical activity, involves some risk and take responsibility for any physical injury which occurs during class.
