In this fun one-time 55 minute drawing class, students will learn the basics of Procreate brush properties through the creation of several fun and colorful brushes.

In this fun one-time 55 minute drawing class, students will learn the basics of Procreate brush properties through the creation of several fun and colorful brushes We will start with setting up our page and creating a folder for our new brushes. We will then create approximately 4 fun brushes such as a rainbow brush, a dotted brush, and outline brush and a confetti brush. In doing so, we will become familiar with how brush properties work, which will open up endless possibilities. If time allows, we will then play with our new brushes by creating some simple designs. No prior experience necessary, however some comfort with the Procreate app is useful. ** Brush properties have lots of details. While I will work to ensure everyone is able to keep up, students may want to watch the replay to review some of the specifics.** ** If your learner is outside the age range for this class, they are still welcome to join so long as they feel they will be able to keep pace.**

I am a lettering artist and lover of all things calligraphy and letters, and have earned my American Cursive Instructor certification. My class offerings include exploring cursive handwriting, letter styles, learning the basics of calligraphy (or faux calligraphy) and making our letters look good with flourishes and banners. I am not only a teacher, but also a life-long student, always taking new classes, mastering new styles and refining my own skills – such as modern calligraphy, copperplate, specerian, uncial, etc.
My lettering philosophy is focused on progress over perfection, having fun, and developing your own unique style.
