Learn to create your own Faux Agate Gemstone Geode Slices using Polymer Clay. The technique we will use is best for learners who have practice rolling out clay without having it stick. This process will require some patience, as we will add multiple layers to achieve a realistic, natural look. We will work together, preparing, rolling, and layering our creations. We will customize our Geodes based on an actual Gemstone or create our own Fantasy Geode. We will add the effects and details...
The supplies needed are: Polymer Baked Clay in Any Color(s) you choose, but we will need to make a few different shades of your main color, by using White and Translucent (translucent is optional, but looks best) Polymer Baked Clay in Gold or Granite looks nice on edges Polymer Baked Clay in Translucent (if you cannot get Translucent, White or Shimmer White will work) Optional: Fine Glitter in a matching color or white Water based Gloss Glaze (for after baking) A sharp clay cutting tool (I use a long clay cutting blade) A nonstick rolling pin (I like acrylic) A nonstick surface (I like acrylic or glass) Any pointed tool Polymer clay requires baking after class. 275F/135C for 20 minutes.
