Class Experience
This drop in series of classes focuses on creating Clay Art Sculptures from the Whimsical Wonderland. In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our Wonderland Miniatures. Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. As a class, we will condition, cut, roll and form our pieces. Then we will assemble our parts and get them prepared to be baked after class is over (if using polymer). There is a weekly breakdown of topics, so...
Sculpting Medium (any brand/type you prefer. I like to use Sculpey III Polymer Bake Clay, which is what I used in the sample images). Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick, smoothing tool, small rolling pin, ball dotting tools (for eye sockets) A cutting tool (clay knife, anything that you are comfortable with using) A few wooden toothpicks (cocktail sticks) or wire Metal eye-pins, if you wish to turn them into charms A non stick surface to work on **Polymer bake clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You will bake after class. Parental help is necessary.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
