In this one time class, students will talk about their favorite fairytales! We will then use an outline to create our own fairytale to practice paragraph writing. Students will practice using topic sentences, detail sentences, and concluding sentences, to create their own story. They will be able to draw a picture to go along with their paragraph in the lesson and will then have an opportunity to share their story at the end of class. (Sharing is encouraged but not required). Class format: *welcome and class rules and guidelines *Talk about a fairytale *Students will share examples of fairytales *Talk about three steps to writing a paragraph (into sentence, details, ending sentence) *plan a story/ fairytale *draw a corresponding picture *Share our stories (encouraged but not required) *Review steps to writing a paragraph and say goodbye Students will need lined or blank paper to plan and write their stories. Learning Goals
Students will learn to use simple paragraph writing steps for a one paragraph prompt (intro, detail sentences, ending sentence) to plan and write a fairytale story. They will draw pictures to coincide with their story and will be able to share their creative thoughts and stories in class.

Supply List
Students will need lined or blank pages of paper to plan and write their five sentence paragraph. Students may bring colored pencils, markers, or crayons to class to color their pictures for their short story.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Welcome! My name is Nicole Allen. I am a very outgoing, upbeat, and exciting teacher. I love to have fun and work hard to encourage and help each and every child I teach.
I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and am licensed to teach students ages K-6. I have taught kindergarten for three years and have been teaching English to students online as an ESL teacher for 2 years.
I have five beautiful children of my own ages 4, 8, 10, 11, and 13 and love adding extra homeschool content to help my own kiddos learn more each day.
I am very creative and love animals! I love to paint, draw, sew, and bake and enjoy playing board games with my family. I am an Animal Crossing fanatic. I have five pets: three cats (Zelda, Blossom, and Julius), one dog (Obi Wan), and a rabbit (Snuggles). I am a huge fan of Starwars and love to watch comedy shows.
I am excited to teach classes using drawing, art concepts, English, and math, and hope to bring several pre-school related curriculum topics to my online classroom as well. I look forward to incorporating fun themes such as Star Wars, Animal Crossing, and Zelda in future classes and would like to offer great themed classes for my future students.
