During this class, students will learn how to draw different types of fish inside a fish tank. We will also learn how to draw decorative items like castles, rocks and coral anemone. During class, we will also learn about overlapping and how to make it look like the fish are in the front and the decorations are in the back of the tank. After we finish drawing, we will complete our artwork by coloring! The student can choose to color their art with whatever they want (markers, crayons, colored pencils or paint) As the teacher, I will guide the students step-by-step through each process and draw and color alongside them. In the materials section below, you can find everything that you will need for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to draw fish and learn the vocabulary words: scales and gills. Students will demonstrate their understanding by drawing their fish with scales and will be able to discuss how a fish takes in oxygen from the water so that they can breathe. Students will also develop their art skills with coloring and using overlapping techniques..
