Let's Craft with Cricut For Young Learners! Level 3

Mrs. Souder, EdD
Average rating:4.9Number of reviews:(327)
This class is designed for advanced Cricut users, who are looking to make higher level fun and creative projects !

Class experience

I have been a teacher for 10 years, working with students as young as pre-school and through college, and have been a home business owner for 3 years. I have used the Cricut for many different items in my shop, along with personal daily uses, and even in my classroom. I love teaching friends and family how to make new items, along with sharing my designs with others. I teach simplistically to optimize learning in an explained step-by-step approach so users can follow along and complete the tasks with me.
Homework Offered
Students will complete projects independently during the week, and share images to the classroom page under the weekly video post. Homework time may vary depending on complexity of project (students will be shown how to complete a project, but the design is theirs so they may create something meaningful to them).
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
Basic Requirements:
Cricut Machine (I will be modeling with the Cricut Air 2)
Fabric/standard grip/light grip mats (fabric grip will be needed for fabric, standard grip will be used for many projects, light grip is optional for cardstock but not necessary)
Weeding Tools
Iron/Cricut Press

Project Requirements:
Infusible Vinyl
Printable Iron On Vinyl
Stencil vinyl (this may not be needed if students use extra vinyl that they do not need, but stencil is recommended)
Transfer Paper (cricut paper is good, but I use Silhoutte for easier transfer)
Cardstock (variety for 3D projects),
Fabric blade for Cricut (standard blades will not cut fabric as well)
Fabric (the type will depend on the project the student chooses)

More may be needed as seen in videos or as students design projects.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be in Design Space, and will be using a Cricut. I will review safety tips, but please be sure to be nearby during projects, or explain safety with your child. In addition, in-app purchases are possible in Design Space. Please have your account not set up to purchase without a credit card, or be with your child during design to prevent in-app purchases.
Cricut Design Space will be used for this class. Students may get ideas for projects from the Design Space or online from other locations prior to creations.
