If you love making crafts like I do, this is the place for you! In this class, your student will be able to discuss new crafts, work on their own projects, and talk with friends who also enjoy crafting! This class is student-driven so I will be there to share information, add ideas, and give suggestions. We might also talk crafts in the classroom during the week by sharing pictures and questions. My hope for this club is that we will be able to comfortably share our crafting ideas! Your learner should feel free to bring any projects that they have completed so we can all share in their success! There are so many different hobbies! Some people may prefer to make blankets, scarves, paintings, drawings, and others may want to make origami, pottery, diamond paintings, or embroidery. Let's all come together and talk about it...while we craft! Weekly Discussion Topic Ideas Pottery Origami Embroidery Diamond Paintings Drawing Paper Quilling Crochet Coloring Doodling Knitting More to come! I would love to hear about what you like to craft and then add it to the list! **Please note that this class is learner driven so these are just guidelines.** If your learner has an interest in these topics, they can bring their craft to class to share! **This class is on-going, but students may join us at any time.**

I learned to crochet in my middle school home economics class and I've been "hooked" ever since. *pun intended* :D I just did the math and that means that I have been crocheting for 20 years now. Wow!
Crochet is a wonderful hobby to make something creative but also useful. I have made many items such as washcloths, shawls, scarves, stuffed toys, and blankets. Over the years, I have learned that blankets are my absolute favorite item to make. There is a crocheted blanket on every bed in my home...and on every sofa...and some are stored...
I am the type of person that can not just sit and not have my hands be busy. Crochet is the perfect hobby to do while watching your favorite show for the 346th time. My hope for the crochet classes is to spark that love of crochet for every student that comes into the classroom. I hope to see you soon!
