Class Experience
Spring is near, flowers are blooming and it's time for an Easter party for your dolls! In this fun class, we will craft an Easter basket for your American Girl Doll and fill it with a chocolate bunny, Easter egg cookies, marshmallow peeps, & other fun spring candies too. Your dolls will be ready to celebrate Easter! Students will be crafting along with me. Students should be able to follow verbal directions, use scissors, & glue.
I'm a Craftaholic, mom, and American Girl doll fan. My daughter loves American Girl and we have been crafting for her dolls for years together. We love coming up with fun new crafts for dolls!
You will need to gather/purchase the craft supplies listed.
1 file available upon enrollment-Digital file templates (printed & cut out) (Digital files are located in the classroom tab, scroll to the bottom to the first welcome message and look for the blue links.) -Cardstock & Regular printer paper to print on -Scissors -Pencil -Glue Stick -Scoring tool (such as a ruler, popsicle stick, toothpick) -Thin tan craft foam or Cardboard from a cereal/snack box -Thin tan craft foam in pastel colors such as pink, purple, blue, yellow, green -Puffy/Fabric paint (colors of your choosing) -Paper plate -Thick craft foam sheet (6mm thick) -Acrylic craft paint (choose a color pink, yellow or purple) -Brown puffy/fabric paint OR brown acrylic paint -Toothpick -Small piece of plastic wrap -9" x 12" brown piece of felt -3-4 cotton balls -10" piece of yarn, jute, or ribbon -a few small beads or a little bit of rice from your pantry -Hot glue gun & hot glue sticks -Felt tipped marker (Sharpie) or pen -Paper towel or cloth to clean hands when needed -OPTIONAL: colored paper either shredded or cut up into thin strips to make grass for your basket. You can also use actual Easter grass from the store if desired.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
***Please note: Scissors & hot glue will be used for a portion of the class. Please be sure to assist your student if needed when using these items.***
