In this one-time class, learners ages 3-5 will learn to count numbers 0-5 while socializing and sharing their favorite construction vehicle toys.

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Come share your favorite trucks and diggers while we practice counting numbers 0-5! Learners will learn the names of four common pieces of heavy equipment: excavator, bulldozer, dump truck, and tow truck. Each learner will be given the opportunity to share their construction vehicle toys if they wish. We will then count up to five trucks and diggers. After we count, we will be introduced to number bonds that can make the number 5. My teaching style is gentle and I will give every learner the opportunity to share their knowledge and ideas. I will only mute in cases of distracting background noise or if a learner is speaking over others after being asked to wait their turn. I am looking forward to meeting your learner!
Learning Goals
Learners will learn to recognize and count numbers 0-5. They will also be introduced to number bonds for the number 5. They will learn social skills by sharing their favorite trucks and diggers.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a Bachelor's of the Arts in Liberal Studies with graduate credits in Elementary Education. I have taken courses and teacher workshops specific to mathematics pedagogy. I have passed the CBEST and all of the CSET multiple subjects content tests required to teach in California. I have worked in classrooms for 20 years with learners of multiple ages and differing abilities. At the moment, I am especially passionate about Kindergarten Mathematics because I am currently homeschooling my 5 year old son.Reviews
