**If you do not see a time that works for your child please contact me as I can start a flex class to fit your schedule. G-O, Go, Go! This cheer class is designed for beginners but would also serve as a great review for children who have some basic cheerleading knowledge. Come along as we learn and perform (through the Outschool platform-no live classes) basic cheer motions, chants, and a culminating cheer dance. Each week I will upload the content for the week late on Sunday night. ...
Students will learn 19 motions, 4 chants, and one cheer dance using the motions we are learning.
I cheered in both high school and college. I was also a cheerleading summer camp instructor for 3 years and a director for one year.
The only homework is to practice the information being taught and if the child chooses to do so to upload the information listed above for feedback. Of course, the amount of time could definitely vary depending on how fast your child learns the information. The beauty of flex classes is that they can play the video over and over again to help them learn the content. My guess is it would be about an hour or two of practice a week.
Students will need to have appropriate sneakers and clothing that provide proper support for jumping and moving. Students will also need plenty of space to jump, dance, and move. Students should also have a water bottle available to stay well hydrated.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
As with any fitness program, you should consult with your physician before signing up for or participating in this class. In signing up for and participating in this class you agree it is at your own risk and liability. You take responsibility for the risk involved. Since we cannot be together in person I cannot be there to govern or have veto power over how something is done. You agree that you are responsible to have your child (the student) properly stretch before and after completing the classes. Stretching instructions are not included as part of the class. The student will need to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. The student will also need a flat open area to complete the class. The student should have a water bottle available to stay well hydrated throughout the class.
