Class Experience

**If you do not see a time that works for your child please contact me as I can start a flex class to fit your schedule.

G-O, Go, Go! This cheer class is designed for beginners but would also serve as a great review for children who have some basic cheerleading knowledge. Come along as we learn and perform (through the Outschool platform-no live classes) basic cheer motions, chants, and a culminating cheer dance.

Each week I will upload the content for the week late on Sunday night. Each video lesson (total of 4) will include instruction in the motions for the week (proper placement), the chant for the week, and an 8-count of cheer dance moves using the motions from the week. This means that at the end of this class your child will have learned 19 motions, 4 chants, and one cheer dance (32 counts) using the motions we are learning.

The teacher and the students will interact together through the Outschool portal. While the beauty of flex classes is that you can complete assignments as time permits, the teacher will follow the schedule written below each week to promote collaboration between everyone participating in the class. All of the activities listed below are always optional and if the student is not comfortable sharing with others that is completely ok. There is also always the option to upload for just the teacher to see and provide feedback on.

Monday: The teacher will have content uploaded and students will begin learning the content.
Tuesday: Students will share pictures of the motions they learned for the week.
Wednesday: Students can perform and record the chant and share it in the portal.
Thursday: Students can perform and record the 8 counts of cheer dance and share in the portal.
**For activities Tuesday-Thursday the teacher will provide encouragement and tips for improvement. Students will also be encouraged to interact by commenting positively on each other's posts.
Friday: Students and the teacher will play a "What's Next" motions game where each student has to add on to a previous student's post.

Stretching is not included in these classes. Students will need to do their own stretching prior to completing the lessons.

Please remember that this is a FLEX class. FLEX classes do not rely on live meetings. Instead, students and teachers conduct class asynchronously through the use of posts in the Outschool classroom.

Please be sure to read and agree to the conditions under Parental Guidance before signing up for the class.

I hope you will join me to have fun learning cheerleading basics.
