In this class, students will be able to practice important literacy and math concepts while investigating weather. The class will begin with greetings and introductions as well as discussing the weather where the students are. After this, we will discuss various facts about the weather and types of weather. While learning these facts, we will incorporate various literacy concepts such as, letters and letter sounds, rhyming, sight words, and vocabulary. We will also discuss the various science concepts and vocabulary words associated with weather. For the last part of class, we will play weather themed literacy and math games. These games will review the literacy concepts mentioned above and include math concepts such as, counting, number recognition, shapes and patterns. This class is a fun and interactive way to practice important concepts for Pre-K and Kindergarten while learning about the weather.
