Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will first be gently guided in painting their bicycles to create their card to celebrate Mother's Day. Outlines will be provided for students to trace lightly or sketch before our class. Techniques may include testing pigments, wet on dry, wet on wet, painting a wash, blending, ombré, and lifting. The teacher will model these techniques, and the students will get the opportunity to try the technique and explore. With each technique, there are many ways to then alter...

Please prepare the outline before the start of class. You can do this by printing the outline and holding it up to a sunny window to trace on to your watercolor paper.

  1 file available upon enrollmentbicycle outline traced on to watercolor paper (or feel free to draw your own!)
watercolor paint (either pans or tubes are great!)
a palette or plastic tray for mixing
1 sheet of 8.5" x 11" watercolor paper
watercolor brushes (rounds and flats are great to start with) or whatever brushes you have on hand work too! 
2 cups of water for cleaning brushes
paper towel
pencil 
eraser

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
