Let’s celebrate Canada Day together! If students are comfortable they can wear red and white or Canada’s themed clothing. If they have hats, glasses or flags feel free to bring those as well! Together we will be able to learn and have fun while celebrating! I hope you will join me! The outline of the class is as follows: -Introductions -Hear Canada's National Anthem “Oh Canada!” -Talk about why we celebrate Canada Day -Hear fun facts about Canada and learn how Canada got its name. -See Canadian money, learn who is on the money and how it looks different from some other places -Learn the difference between provinces and territories -Look at some of Canada's famous Landmarks -Students will get to share why they like Canada or where they might want to visit Canada.
Learning Goals
Students will get to:
1. Learn facts about Canada.
2. Practice listening
3. Take turns speaking in a group setting.
4. Practice Canada’s national anthem.
5. Learn about and make a Canada Flag.
6. HAVE FUN!

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
